The continuous operating lifetime of a battery depends very much on the electrical demands of the device in which the battery is installed. In a test of three battery brands, four examples of each brand are randomly selected. Three examples of four different toys are also randomly selected, randomly equipped with one of the battery brands, then each is operated until it stops. The times, in hours, are shown here.
