The HZP Company operates in Chicago, where it designs and manufactures its own line of specialized women’s clothing. The company maintains a Web presence and recently started accepting orders through a commerce server that it developed in house. The problem is that the commerce server stores incoming orders in a format that is not consistent with the format used by the accounting system. In fact, the problem is so bad that all incoming data require a considerable amount of manual editing in a word processor before they can be read into the accounting system.
