I try to make my classes as fun as possible because I believe learning should be fun. While teaching, I like to joke around so that it does not feel like 'all work'. If possible, I give presentation so that kids can have an audio-visual learning experience. When I begin a class, I prefer to spend the 1st 5 minutes recapping the materials from the previous class, then depending on my total class duration, I give lecture, do board work and/or present and finally spend the last 5-10 minutes reviewing and questioning students. Every now and then I take pop quize and after completing each chapter, I like to take a short test to assess the students' progress. Outside of the classroom or off hours, I encourage students to come and speak to me should they have any problems and these problems need not be limited to studies.
