People often think that only accountants need to know accounting. Many students may not consider taking accounting because they have no interest in being an accountant. Whether students aspire to be doctors, teachers, lawyers, scientists, florists, or artists, they will need to use accounting to control the financial resources of their business or organization.

Required:

Create a presentation that could be made to your high school counselor, student body, or incoming students to persuade the audience that everyone needs accounting. Use the following guidelines.

1. Prepare a list of skills learned in accounting that can be used in everyday life.

2. Elaborate by writing a paragraph to discuss each skill and how advantageous it is for a person to gain the skill.

3. Prepare graphic aids such as an electronic slide presentation that could be used to present the material.
