Data set: AIDS
Is there any combination of socioeconomic factors that can be used to explain the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the world’s least developed countries? Least developed countries (or fourth world countries) are countries classified by the United Nations as meeting all three of the following criteria: a low income criterion, a human resource weakness criterion, and an economic vulnerability criterion. The World Health Organization (WHO) attempts to measure the number of people living with HIV/AIDS. Regrettably, it is often difficult to get accurate counts.
The AIDS data set shows the prevalence of HIV/ AIDS in adults aged 15 to 49 in least developed countries along with country-level data on several socioeconomic factors. Use this data set to create a multivariate regression model to predict the prevalence of HIV/AIDS from socioeconomic factors.
