Many governments undergo performance audits for a variety of purposes. The results of such audits are typically available for public review on government websites. One state that publishes performance audit reports is Oregon.

Access Oregon’s state audit reports at http://sos.oregon.gov/audits/Pages/ recent.aspx. This site gives a list of performance audits conducted in the past year that involve various entities of state and local governments. Click on “Performance Audits” and select a recent performance audit report of interest or that your instructor has specified and use it to answer the following questions.
a. What are the title and report number of the performance report? When was it issued? Who conducted the audit?
b. Prepare a memo addressed to citizens of the State of Oregon that describes the purpose of the performance audit and key audit findings.
