Reichman et al. (A-60) conducted a study with the purpose of demonstrating that negative symptoms are prominent in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and are distinct from depression. The following are scores made on the Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms in Alzheimer’s Disease by patients with Alzheimer’s disease (PT) and normal elderly, cognitively intact, comparison subjects (C).
