Tim Hayden was introduced earlier as having an idea for connecting sports fans in a stadium with the same sorts of graphics, statistics, instant replay and other advantages the television viewers had. He had his idea and developed a plan to attempt to see when he thought he was ready to move on the idea. 

During a vacation, he met an entrepreneur, Terry Loebel, the founder of Val-Pak. Through discussions with him and later Tim’s parents, Tim decided he was now ready.

1. People talk about entrepreneurs depending on luck. Tim only saw Terry Leobel that one time. Their conversation was one of the factors leading Tim to decide to go full-time on Vivid Sky and SkyBOX. Was it luck on Tim’s parts? Was there anything Tim could have done to improve his luck?
2. Why would Tim’s employers plan to change business directions make becoming a full-time entrepreneur more attractive?
3. Tim felt he needed to go full=time to take the SkyBOX “to the next level.” Can you think of ways he could have continued building up the SkyBOX while sticking with a part-time approach? What would have been the downfalls?
