Perhaps you are among the masses of Americans who are annoyed by the seeming epidemic of underfilled potato chip bags and candy boxes and over-iced cold drinks. Starbucks was sued in 2018 on the grounds that it “uniformly underfills its lattes and mochas” to “save on the cost of milk.” The plaintiffs claimed that Starbucks failed to fill its cups with the ounces of drinks specified on its menus and thus was guilty of breach of express warranty, false advertising, fraud, and more.
