A traditional performance rating benchmark (or guideline) for “normal” effort, or speed, is dealing 52 cards into four piles, forming a square with each pile one foot apart, in 0.50 minute. Conduct an experiment with one or more fellow students in which one deals the cards and the others rate the dealer’s performance, and then compare these subjective ratings with the actual time of the dealer.
