Question:
The articles you research and the temporary topic you choose may not be what you ultimately choose, but I encourage you to determine an interest that you can stick to in order to avoid extra researching. Objectives:
1. Use research databases to find peer reviewed articles
2. Use summary to articulate claims from articles in your own words
3. Identify the differences and similarities between the claims in each article
4. Discuss your position in relation to the claims from each article
Part A: Research & Summary
1. Find two (3) articles that analyze the literature and themes you chose to write about. You MUST use scholarly sources that can be found in the JSTOR and EBSCO Databases provided through the Library’s link on Pasport. Go to Pasport?Click on “Library”?Click on “EBSCO Database”?Select ”Continue”?Search for articles in search bar OR: Go to Pasport?Click on “Library”?Click on “JSTOR”?type the username and password provided on previous page (“laredo” and “coursework”) You can search either or both, but you need to use keywords in the search boxes to find articles.
2. Read and note main ideas in each article. You may consider highlighting or underlining or otherwise marking the areas where key ideas are stated. You could also type one statement that explains the idea in each paragraph as you read.
