Question:
Write a response to the following description:
Buddhism - Buddhists do visit shrines and temples to pay respects to Buddha and meditate, however this is not entirely essential because Buddhists view their religion as a way of life, a way to act. In Japan and China, Buddhists built pagodas as sacred temples. These towers vary in tiers, typically five. This each represents the five basic elements of the universe (earth, wind, fire, water, and emptiness). The height represents reaching out of the physical world towards wisdom. Some Buddhists go on pilgrimages to places associated with Buddha's life. These places include: birth place - Lumbini Grove, enlightenment - Bodh Gaya, first sermon - Sarnarth, death - Kusinara.
Judaism - Israel in itself is a very religious place for the Jewish religion. The ancient capital, Jerusalem holds the site of the original temple, a place many Jews try to visit at least once in their lifetime. This is home to the Western Wall, Wailing Wall, or the Kotel which is where the tablets that Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments were stored in a golden box called the Ark of the Covenant. It is often referred to as the Wailing Wall because Jewish people will grieve the destruction of the temple and other persecutions of the Jews in this location. In the Jewish religion the people worship in synagogues which are a center for Jewish life, not just worshipping, but also education and community. Rituals such as at the Shabbat meal and the observance of Passover, take place in Jewish homes.
