5. Why to use a patch-clamp experiment?

 You used the Patch-Clamp technique to analyze three different membranes (A: red circles, B: grey boxes, C: brown triangles). To do that you isolated a very small portion of each membrane and measured the velocity of transport of substance X through that membrane using increasing but small concentrations of substance X.

For the experiment using membrane C, ATP was added to the mix or not as indicated by the orange "+" and "-".

The result obtained from the three membranes are presented in the graph.
