Capturing Good Memories During the Pandemic

The Pandemic has been affecting the entire world for more than two years now. Despite the government's recently relaxed rules, most industries still have minimal activity. Even common people are reluctant to engage in a wide range of activities.

This also applies to Ma. Fate and Willy, who are both preparing for a significant event in their lives. The two are best of friends since elementary, and they both graduated from the oldest Colegio in the Philippines. Ma. Fate received a degree in Marketing and Willy finished a degree in Entrepreneurship. They worked in Manila area. Ma. Fate is in-charge in promotional campaign of an international online company, and Willy is managing his small online along Makati Ave.

Although the two usually discuss what their dream business would be, it was on Christmas' Day of 2020 that Ma. Fate and Willy started to conceptualize of capturing good memories that they usually do before the pandemic. It was also the first Christmas that they celebrated Christmas separately and away from their loved ones.

The two friends believed that Filipinos really loved to celebration every important occasion in their lives together, but that celebrations were not possible because of the Pandemic.

So they started to come up with this idea of helping people to celebrate especial occasions in their lives remotely and virtually.

But before they offer their services to other people, they agreed to give their services, for FREE, to their closed-friends who badly missed their parents and sibling who are living in the province. One of their sibling is also working abroad. Their friends are planning to celebrate Christmas and make it memorable.

This is really a challenge for them to celebrate Christmas as they do that before the Pandemic, wherein, they usually gather in one place.

Ma. Fate is from Manila. She is the eldest of three sisters. She and her sisters worked on the family business when they were young. Her father passed away several years ago. Her mother, Susan, now lives alone in the family ancestral house with a huge and beautiful garden. Ma. Fate's sisters are all married and managing their respective businesses.

Willy and Ma. Fate decided to start their own business and would like to ask assistance from their friends and relatives.

Willy calls home and tells his mom, Belen, the news. His mom's replies, ''That's great, son! I've been waiting for you to start your own business. I can't wait seeing you spread your wing and fly. I'm so excited. We're going to see you succeed in your endeavor. All our friends and family will come to support you in your business. We'll probably invite more friends to support you on your opening day.

I'll tell your cousin Barrack to assist you for your documentations and other requirements You grew up together, although you haven't seen much of each other since you went off to college in Manila. I'll call Aunt Jacky as soon as we're done talking and tell her that we want her to support you in the business.

Goodbye, my big boy. I'll tell Papa you called. And I can't wait to start telling everybody that you have your own business now."

Ma. Fate also calls her mom to tell her the news about the upcoming opening of their business. Dina responds, ''That's wonderful, dear. I'm glad you're finally decided to have your own business You waited so long with going off to college and everything. I'll start getting everything ready just to support you on your business.

Well, I guess pretty soon you'll be a successful business woman. I'm glad you are finally on your way to the business world. You should really be thinking about going back home now before you officially start your business for some nitty-gritty. I saw Kuya Prof, your high school teacher, at the grocery store the other day. He told me he will be retiring soon and will focus on his YouTube Channel, KPTV. Maybe, we could air the opening of your business and promote it in his channel and show to the viewers your business. I'll told him you would be excited to hear that he will be retiring." Hmm, probably you could have a collaboration with him.'' ''He will definitely agree with this good idea. And you would have a good chance to get more clients."

Willy and Ma. Fate start discussing their business plan. They decide they want an online business that would capture every good memory in every life of every Filipino family. They want to have it even family members of their clients are living distantly. Capturing the moment is their primary goal in their business and give lasting memories to all

That is really a challenge for the two friends, although the entire country has a much relax policy being imposed by the government because of Covid-19 Pandemic. It is now the New Normal, Ma. Fate and willy continue to have a zoom meeting and start laying out the detailed plan of all the things they need to do to get ready for their business.
