Read the following narrative of tasks for a project involving a request from a business manager for a new software system. This part of the project only involves the preliminary investigation and interviews to determine whether new software is necessary or feasible. The narrative shown below represents the business manager's request to the systems analyst. Once you have finished reading the narrative, complete the questions that follow. Business Manager: Review the systems request. This may take up to three business days. Then read any existing documentation (three days) and review Internet access delays (two days). After both of these are complete, contact managers about interviews (two days), then plan the interview schedule (two days). Once the interview schedule is planned, prepare the preliminary investigation report (two days); deliver this as a presentation to the committee. Then, plan interview questions, contact interviewees (one day), and send the questionnaire and obtain results (five days).Once this is all done, conduct the interviews. When the interviews have been conducted, tabulate all the results. You should be able to tabulate the results in one day. I would allow three days to conduct the interviews, two days to deliver the presentation, and 1 day to plan the interview questions. For this project, you have yourself, John and Sarah. You are the analyst hence your hourly rate is $50. John and Sarah have an hourly rate of $30 each. As an analyst, you must communicate with the management/ committee yourself. You may assign other tasks to your team. Instructions: 1. Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in MS Project. Also include for cach task, their summary, duration, and predecessor task(s). 2. Create the Gantt Chart in MS Project. Be careful about the Task links. 3. Create a resource sheet for this project, and assign resources to each task. Also assign cost of each resource for each task. Be careful about over allocation of the resources. Read the following narrative of tasks for a project involving a request from a business manager for a new software system.
