Question:
This piece of assessment requires you to be professional in your approach to tutorials in this unit. By being professional, I mean: i) preparing thoroughly before tutorials; ii) engaging in discussions and completing tasks during tutorials, and; iii) reflecting on your experiences and ideas after tutorials.
For this piece of work you will need to submit a portfolio of materials evidencing your professional engagement with tutorials.
Materials relating to any SIX tutorials;
Materials should include:
- Notes taken from readings in preparation for tutorials/lectures;
- Notes taken during tutorials that evidence your engagement in discussions. In particular, there will be several tutorials in which you will have been asked to read only one of a number of relevant readings. In these weeks, it is important that you gather information on the additional readings from other students;
- Evidence of your reflection on tutorials – your consideration of the relationships between tutorials and lectures, between tutorials and assessment, or between tutorials and your more general engagement with international politics and security.
Assessment criteria
- Effort at preparation – as evidenced by the quantity and quality of notes on required readings;
- Engagement with the content of tutorials – as evidenced by the quality of work completed during tutorials;
- Extension beyond the content of tutorials and required readings – as evidenced by notes on your reflections on tutorial content and the relationship between that content and further reading and/or assessment tasks, and;
- Organization of materials.
You are asked to submit entries on at least 6 of our 12 sessions.
