The increasing number of traveling businesswomen represents a large potential clientele for the hotel industry. Many hotel chains have made changes designed to attract more women. To help direct these changes, a hotel chain commissioned a study to determine whether major differences exist between male and female business travelers. A total of 100 male and 100 female executives were questioned on a variety of topics, one of which was the number of trips they had taken in the previous 12 months. We would like to know whether these data provide enough evidence to allow us to conclude that businesswomen and businessmen differ in the number of business trips taken per year.
