Compare the same news story in online and traditional paper media. How is the story presented differently? Are the two presentations merely different versions of the same thing? Consider the following:
a. What are the differences, if any? Compare the layout, prominence of the story and so on.
b. Is there a difference in the substance (level of detail) or the writing (language used) between the two? Give examples if you find any.
c. How is the layout different and does this effect how you read the story?
d. Do you have different approaches to reading the text? Are you more likely to click and scan the online text?
e. What is your preferred method of accessing your daily news and why? How does this compare with others in your group?
