Two particles, P and Q, are resting on a smooth, horizontal surface. Their masses are 2 kg and 3 kg, respectively. Particle P is projected towards Q with velocity 5ms-1. It subsequently strikes Q and Q moves off with velocity 2.5ms-1. Find the value of e, and also find the loss in kinetic energy due to the collision.
