a. Each person in the group should reread the portion of Section 18.1 on investment, including the Don’t Let This Happen to You “Remember What Economists Mean by Investment.”

b. Each person should write down what he or she finds surprising about this definition and share it with the group.

c. The group should prepare a brief report on how this definition of investment is different from what most of the group members expected before reading the chapter.
