We want to predict the height of someone given their foot length. To do this, we obtained a random sample of 81 high school students who gave their height and foot length in centimeters. Software was used to calculate the following regression table.
a. Give the equation of the least squares regression line for predicting height given foot length.
b. Interpret the slope coefficient in your regression line in the context of height and foot length.
c. One student’s height was 168 cm and foot length was 24 cm. What is the residual for this person?
