Go to the Pew Research Center’s site and take the survey titled “How do your views on gender compare with those of other Americans?” found at https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/12/05/how-do-your-views-on-gender-compare-withthose-of-other-americans/. This survey is comprised of nine questions on topics ranging from gender equality to gender identity. As you answer each question, you will see how others answered the same question.

QUESTIONS 

1. How did your answers compare to others’ answers? Do you see any patterns? If yes, how would you describe them? What are your immediate reactions?

2. Which specific items (if any) did not surprise you at all, and which (if any) did surprise you? What might explain the surprises?

3. How satisfied are you with your answers when compared with others’ answers? Do you want to rethink any of your views, and how might you do so? How can you use these data and reactions to guide future comments and other actions?
