Design one bit of a digital circuit that performs the four logic operations of exclusive- OR, exclusive- NOR, NOR, and NAND on register operands A and B with the result to be loaded into register A. Use two selection variables.

(a) Using a Karnaugh map, design minimum logic for one typical stage, and show the logic diagram.

(b) Repeat (a), trying different assignments of the selection codes to the four operations to see whether the logic for the stage can be simpliied further.
