Question:
Your CEO has welcomed you on board and has shown you to your office. He proceeds to sit you down and explain the many issues that are troubling him about the business. The conversation lasts about an hour. At the end of the meeting while the CEO has one foot out the door he turns and says, "Let me know your thoughts on how IT can solve our many challenges. I want to know what we should do and the order in which we should do them in."
You of course respond "I will get right on it." As the door closes you lean back in your chair and wonder what you got yourself into. After a few minutes you realize that this is indeed a great opportunity to leverage what you know about technology and to really make a difference at this organization.
The first thing you do is a brain dump of everything your CEO spoke to you about. The following list is the issues that were mentioned during the conversation. Remember, they are in no specific order. The CEO was blurting them out as the conversation progressed.
2. What issue would you resolve first and why?
3. Which issue do you believe will force the greatest culture shift within the organization? Why? Is this good or bad?
