A Guest Service story is a critical component of service culture. Many companies in the Service Industry such as Ritz Carlton and Walt Disney World, are well-known for their service culture as well as their amazing stories. Story plays a key role in educating people in what should be done and how to achieve service excellence. This exercise requires you to introduce a guest service story. The story may come from your personal experience, your friends, or the web. You may read and tell us about a service excellence story that someone has posted. Or, you can post about a situation you or a friend experienced that highlights service excellence. Remember: this is to be about service Excellence. Deliverables: 1. Select a relevant guest service story related to a particular service provider such as a company in the hotel, restaurant, tourism, retail, or airline industry/sector. 2. Tell the story in your own words and upload it to the submission portal. Tell us what made the service excellent in the eyes of the poster or yourself, if you are telling about a personal experience. 3. You can create a video where you tell us the story. In your video you can include pictures and you telling us the story. 4. Or you can use a narrated PowerPoint and save it as mpeg4 format. If you are using PowerPoint, make sure your slides are attractive by including relevant pictures, graphics, and photos. (5 marks) 5. Your Video or PowerPoint presentation should also include the following: The name of the service provider (1) What is significant about this story?
