In his first 90 days in his new role he decides to spend the time focused on meeting with each employee in the company. During these meetings he asks what they love about their job, what they see for the future of the company and what motivates them at work. The conversations are amazing! Amit leaves each meeting feeling grateful and excited. He receives many emails and a lot of feedback that employees loved these meetings. After all the meetings are done Amit develops a vision for the future of the company based on what he heard from employees and his ideas about the future. When he shares the vision with employees, he can see that the employees are excited and motivated about the direction the company is headed. His first 90 days are a success and the future looks promising! Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to build skills of applying OB concepts to business situations. The Mini Case Assignments will involve the identification of core OB concepts linked to key aspects of a case provided to students. Process 1. The Professor will input the scenario for evaluation a week before the assignment is due. 2. The student will evaluate the case based on OB concepts explore in class (review example). OB concepts will be bolded and clearly explained with the link to the case. Students will identify a minimum of three key case details or root problems. 3. The Case Tool will be submitted to assignment portal on the due date provide. Below are the Case Tools that will be used for the Mini Case Assignments. Examples will be reviewed in class.
