Include how the household(s) you grew up in influenced your perception of gender by whether you were made to fit into gender norms regarding clothing, behavior ("boys/girls don't do that"), things you took an interest in, games and sports, etc. Then discuss how your educational experience whether in school or home school either widened or narrowed your gender philosophy in the same areas (i.e. were you encouraged to not study certain subjects, wear certain clothing, play certain sports, etc.) Describe how the first twenty years of your life influenced your gender identity.
