Create an outline of information you plan to present, including 3 main points that will be covered in the speech, create an introduction and conclusion appropriate to the speech, and then practice how you want to deliver your speech. We would not give a toast at a family wedding and pull out our note cards and PowerPoint presentation, so you want to mimic real life by memorizing what you would say. It is always useful to use narratives, they are easy to remember and help connect the audience to the event.
