How to make a payrolll for a small home health agency. The agency employs a total of five employees. Of the five employees, the Administrator is the only person who is on salary, everyone else is paid hourly. Please open the excel worksheet with the payroll data. Please note the following:
- All employees are paid every other week.
- Overtime is paid at a rate of 1.5 for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a calendar week. Salaried employees are not paid overtime.
- The actual hours worked by each employee for each week is provided.
- Each employee's marital status is provided.
- Each employee's federal number of exemptions is provided.
You will first calculate the gross pay for each employee. Enter your answers in the yellow highlighted spaces.
The Social Security taxes (at 6.2%) and Medicare taxes (at 1.45%) will automatically be calculated for you. You will need to use the Federal tax tables to calculate the correct federal and you should deduct 4.99% for the NC withholding tax. This should be withheld for each employee each pay period. Please enter the Federal and NC withholding in the yellow spaces provided.
The spreadsheet will then automatically calculate the Net Pay for each employee.
