In this programming assignment, you will be developing a command line tool that runs in two modes: listen mode and connect mode. Listen mode simply starts an echo server on a given port, and connect mode connects to an echo server, accepts input lines from user and send them to the echo server.

Echo Server

• Program starts and creates a TCP socket in listen mode and accepts connections from remote clients. Your tool should print out meaningful error messages to user on errors.
• Server should wait for line message from client, logs it locally, and echo it back to client.
• Server uses a disconnection from client or DOT character to mark end of a line. In other words, server should continuously receive from client until it sees a DOT or connection is closed by client, at that point, server should echo back (send) the received line and close the connection.

Echo client

• Connects to an echo server on a given PORT and HOST, tool should print meaningful messages on connection errors
• Client runs in two modes:

Single-line mode: client runs, connects to an echo server, accepts one line from user, client would then send the line to the echo server, waits for a response back from server, client prints out echoed line, and finally, closes the connection and exits.

Interactive mode: client runs, connects to an echo server, and sits in a loop accepting lines from end-user. For each line client accepts from end-user, client sends the line to server, waits for an echo reply from server, prints it to console, then waits for more lines from end-user. Client exists loop when user enters “quit”. Before exiting, client should gracefully shutdown the connection with server.
