Security issues with WFH/A:For many organisations, Covid-19 has forced the IT landscape and culture to shift towards working-from-home (WFH) or indeed working-from-anywhere (WFA). This shift has resulted in less centralised control and an increase in the diversity of geographic locations, devices, and communication networks used to perform work-related tasks. Managing security in this new environment is a substantial challenge for oragnisations. With reference to an organisation in an industry of your choosing, describe the security issues that have emerged from this shift. Suggest some of the security controls; technical and managerial, that organisations can leverage to address the inherent risks associated with WFH/A arrangements while still facilitating adequate flexibility? SIEM, SOAR, and UBEA:With digital transformation across many oragnisations, several of these oragnisations have adopted the use of the tools such as SIEM, SOAR, and/or UBEA. With reference to an organisation in an industry of your choosing, describe these tools and distinguish between them. Highlight the advantages and shortcomings of each. Discuss where each of these tools, or combinations thereof, can be used to improve the security posture of the organisation. Space cybersecurity:There has been a resurgence in the space industry over the last decade. While this resurgence in the space industry promises to revolutionalise and redefine global connectivity, and as such create numerous business opportunities, it also presents security concerns that are not typical to the traditional IT industry. Describe the unique cybersecurity challenges currently facing or otherwise envisioned to face the space industry. Discuss the various efforts by different organisations aimed at responding to these security threats. Cloud security:More and more organisations are shifting their business operations to the cloud. In fact, some businesses are "native to the cloud"; that is, they have been created in the cloud and therefore don't own any on-premises IT infrastructure! This shift is motivated by several business advantages offered by the cloud. With reference to an organisation in an industry of your choosing, describe some of the motivations for organisations to "move to the cloud". Discuss the security challenges that the C-suite should consider in deciding to move some or all its operations to the cloud.
