Question:
Marjorie is a 32-year-old mother of three children ages 11, 8, and 7. The school system has contacted you as her case manager because her children are missing a lot of school and Marjorie did not attend the parent-teacher conference set up for her. Marjorie tells you that she "just forgot". You know that Marjorie suffers from major depression and during your recent visit she told you that she is often unable to get up off the couch. She says wants her children to do well in school and has assigned the 11-year-old the task of getting everyone ready for school in the morning. Marjorie is not currently taking any medication. She has been suicidal in the past. What other information do you need to know about Marjorie and her family? What concerns do you have about her depression and what services would you put in place and why?
