Page 1 title page Pages 2-4 Content pages: The opening paragraph should introduce your topic. Define any terms that might be unfamiliar. Refer to the experiment that you chose from the textbook for this paper and reference the study. Briefly state some examples from the published literature that you compared and contrasted in the paper (i.e., the articles you found in your library search that you selected for comparisons). Briefly summarize the experimental details from the original experiment. Explain what the researchers were investigating, the subjects, what tests were administered, what the tests measured and the overall findings. Discuss any remaining questions or theories that current studies are addressing. Give examples of three to four studies that you found from library research that tested the theories or questions asked in the original experiment. When referencing these studies in text, place the author’s name and year of publication in parenthesis at the end of the sentence. For example “Investigators found that individuals reported higher levels of conformity in larger groups compared to smaller group settings” (Smith & Jones 1996; Smith, Andrews & Jones 2004; Gibson 2008). If using direct quote, include page number with reference citation. Include in your discussion any modifications to theories or research designs that occurred over time as a result of new research findings, ethical considerations, changes in technology, etc. Conclusion paragraph should summarize the main points of the paper. Page 5: Reference Page with complete reference information for the textbook plus a minimum of four additional research articles generated from library research.
