My name is Nova Hines and I work for a mining company called Stibium Mining South Africa. The mine has historically mined both antimony and gold commodities.

My hook would be as follows:

Dubbed a 'critical' and 'strategic' mineral commodity by the European Commission (1), antimony is a very important element required to manufacture some of the world's most innovative products. Imagine a product that can prolong the life of batteries, is less harmful to the environment and it has the potential to change the way energy is stored. A bulk of the world's antimony supply is from China with very few alternative countries supplying the commodity in significantly smaller quantities (Perpetua Resources, 2). We would like to become a supplier of metallurgical antimony to the world and participate in the latest technological advancements in the battery manufacturing industry.

A brief, non-confidential description of your product or service

The product on offer is metallurgical antimony. Antimony is a critical and strategically important mineral commodity that is used in the production of batteries (Perpetua Resources, 2; Anderson, 3).

Any differentiating advantages your product or service offers

Antimony is scarce, it cannot be substituted and it is a highly sought after commodity because of its various uses (Perpetua Resources, 2). We are also unique because we are the only mine in Africa that has historically mined this commodity. We could be the alternative source of the commodity for countries that are in close proximity to South Africa.

Refurbish the processing plant (which will be used to produce the antimony from mined ore.

I also need to take my audience seriously and be fully cognizant of their knowledge and level of understanding when pitching my idea.

I would ensure that my product is promoted in a rational and logical way, by stating facts and not leaving any room for ambiguity.

I would use the idea of "claim" and "warrant" when promoting my product. For instance, I would note how the antimony market is greatly dominated by China. There is an opportunity for us to become an alternative supplier of the commodity for many other countries who wish that they had a choice.
