Question 1 You will be given a virtual capital of USD 80,000 to invest. No short selling, leverage, nor trading in odd lot sizes is allowed. You are expected to analyse and place transactions for between 3 to 5 stocks. An unlimited number of buy or sell transactions can be done. At the end of the investing period, the simulator will be closed and the net realised percentage of each student's portfolio will be calculated. Example: Student starts with a virtual capital of USD$80,000 and ends with USD$200,000. The Net Realised Percentage is calculated to be 150% [ (200,000 -80,000)/80,000]. The Net Realised Percentages of all students are then ranked and marks will be awarded based on the student's ranking. (b) In a nutshell: Try to make as much money as possible using economic analysis, industry analysis, equity valuation, fundamental analysis and technical analysis tools.
