This is also an opportunity to develop the ability to understand legal cases and think critically about how these issues may be resolved by the Court. Select a pending case in front of the United States Supreme Court from SCOTUSblogLinks to an external site. that is considering an issue related to a Constitutional provision outside of the Bill of Rights (ex. taxes, jurisdiction, immigration).
- Directions
To complete your ECQ Assignment, you must:
- Identify the name of the case you selected and summarize the facts.
- Give a description of the issue before the Court.
- Identify the primary legal issues in the case (remember these should be legal issues related to a Constitutional provision outside the Bill of Rights). Identify what provision of the Constitution is at issue and its function.
