The Kitchener Rangers are a junior ice hockey team that is a part of the Ontario Hockey League. They have called the Dom Cardillo arena at The Aud (located at 400 East Ave, Kitchener, ON N2H 1Z6) their home since 1963 The Kitchener Rangers offer locals a chance to come out and cheer on a competitive hockey team that competes with teams from across Ontario. This league has players in it who's next step would be to play in the NHL. The games are exciting to attend and have a professional feel. Want to see some game highlights? Click here This is where you come in. You will be helping the Rangers to Sell their Season Tickets for Next Year. Seasons tickets allow the purchaser to attend every home game that the Rangers play (there are 34 in the season) Please make sure you visit the website for the client to learn about who they are, what branding they use and to get a feel for who they currently target and what product and services they offer. https://kitchenerrangers.com/ The client is looking to create a direct mail piece to encourage new Rangers Fans to Purchase seasons ickets for the 2023-2024 season. The cost for the tickets are $766 / Adult (13+), or $628 / Child (2- 12). The client is open to take your suggestion on what age group, gender, ethnicity and/or level of household income they should target. They want you to pick a group that you believe you will have the highest success rate with and the group that you believe is most likely to continue to purchase season's tickets in future years as well. Your overall goal will be to get 150 season tickets sold. *Please make sure you ONLY focus on selling season tickets and not tickets for individual games. Task 1. Determine a viable target market to focus your attention on (it is a good idea to take feedback from assignment 1A to complete this). Prepare a full target market profile and then in one paragraph explain why this is the best market to focus on 2. Create a direct mail letter that you feel would be effective in meeting the objectives laid out by the client. Take into consideration what will be appealing to your target market, the message you need to convey and what you believe will motivate your target market to react to your letter. 3. Outline how many people you will send your direct mail piece to and their location (gathered from an EAG-Canada spreadsheet provided).
