this task you must find a community group that you can work with to research community priorities
Question:
this task you must find a community group that you can work with to research community priorities as well as participate in some work relating to the group.
There must be at least three individuals in the community group that you can interact with.
You must be able to engage with the community group on at least three occasions
• Occasion 1 - Research the priorities of the community group• Occasion 2 - Participate in work• Occasion 3 - Review the work done during Occasion 2.
The community group may be:
• A community group that you are already involved in, for example you may be a member of a specific cultural group, church group, CFA, local neighbourhood house, etc, or you may already have employment with a relevant organisation.• A community group that you are interested in• The community services organisation that you worked with for your assessment for the unit CHCPRP001 - Develop and maintain networks and collaborative partnershipso Note that the organisation will need to have a community development focus for this option to be appropriate.
If you have any problems locating a suitable community group talk to your teacher to obtain advice.
When negotiating with a community group to complete this assessment you must explain that you are a student of Bendigo Kangan Institute and fully explain the purpose and requirements of the assessment.
2. Students may work together with a specific community;however the assessment each student hands in must be their own work. So although students may collaborate with each other, attend the same meetings, and support the same activities, each student must complete their report in their own words, and reflect their own perspectives.
