Tina, a sale representative, worked 45 hours a week from Monday to Friday only (as per her contract terms). On 7 th July 2017, Tina received a phone call from a customer to do some marketing in their premises on that Saturday, 8 th July 2017. Despite only working from Monday to Friday only, Tina accepted the offer because she was of the view that this would look good in her next promotion review. On her way to the customer's premises on 8 th July 2017, Tina got into a vehicle accident and the Police report stated that Tina was at fault. The driver of the other vehicle is now sueing Tina and the Company under torts as the driver is of the view that Tina is an employee of the Company and since the accident happened during the course of her employment, the Company was also liable.
