Case History: Marjorie Becomes a Parent Again at Age 68 Marjorie has lived alone since her husband, Sam, passed away eight years ago from lung cancer. Marjorie and Sam had one child together: their daughter, Alice. As Marjorie describes her, Alice has always been "a handful. She dropped out of high school just before graduating and had her first child when she was 19 years old.
