Assume that your group is a consulting firm that offers systems development services. Now a meal solution
Question:
You can assume the following business rules for their business and system:
Meal Solution Inc. is a company in Toronto which provides food kit delivery service. Food items provided by the company include packed uncooked meals (customer will cook the meals from the packed ingredients), snacks, and beverages.
Customers need to register an account before they can order food from the company’s e-commerce online system.
Customers order food week by week. Customers’ orders for the coming week need to be placed and paid by the end of current Wednesday.
Every week the company provides around 20 meal recipes for the customers to choose from and then they pack all the ingredients for each meal and deliver the uncooked ingredients to the customers.
Meal designers at the company designs new meals and maintains all the meal recipes in the system. They can create new meal recipes, update current meal recipes, and delete meal recipes.
As mentioned previously, the company will arrange around 20 meal recipes each week for the customer to choose from. Meal schedulers are responsible for scheduling(CRUD)weekly meal recipes so that customers can choose meals from each week’s available meal recipes.
Inventory employees are responsible for monitoring ingredients’ inventory level and the inventory level of snacks and beverages. Once they notice any inventory below a certain level, they will inform the purchase department to purchase and refill the inventory.
Every week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, inventory employees will start to pack orders. And on Sunday, shipping teams will deliver the orders to customers’ addresses.
The business rules listed above are the basic guidelines for the system. Your group should carry out your own research to dig out more rules to work on the system.
