Computer-assisted software engineering (CASE) tools can significantly help developers improve productivity, quality, and documentation. Conduct an informal survey of about a dozen information technology departments regarding whether they use CASE tools, and if so, what type. Also, find out how long they have been using the CASE tools and whether they are used for all or just some projects.
