There are many different systems development methodologies in use, each with its own terminology, and number and scope of phases.

Search the Web for information on two or three of these other systems development methodologies, then do the following:

a. Note the systems development methodologies that you found. When, by whom, and why were they developed?

b. What phases and terminology do they employ?

c. Draw a matrix comparing their phases to the textbook’s eight-phased methodology.

d. What significant differences did you find?

e. Do you see any advantages or disadvantages in any of the methodologies that you found compared to the chapter’s eight-phased methodology?
