The prominence of African American characters in video games containing violent story lines is all the more striking because of the narrow range of video games in which African Americans have been present over the years. One study found that of 1,500 videogame characters surveyed, 288 were African American males—and 83 percent of those were athletes. Do you think this is a problem, and if so how would you address it?
