Question

Would our money for pets be more wisely spent on impoverished children? Explain.
We may not take the best care of our disadvantaged fellow Americans, but we seem to be unstinting in generosity toward our pets. Americans in 2011 spent nearly $61 billion on their pets, a sum that exceeds the gross domestic product of all but about 70 nations.
