How to Celebrate the Night You Graduate

The slog is finally done. The four years of frustration, drama, and tests are over and it’s time to celebrate. But, how should you do it? Here are six ways to celebrate the night of your graduation:

Kick it With Your Family

Who better to celebrate the official end of your childhood and emergence into adulthood than the people that got you there? They’ve been with you since day one, so returning the favor by having a great celebration together will be a fitting way to end such a joyous occasion as your graduation. Plus, your parents will be able to make you a bomb dinner that has all your favorite foods, which will be integral since you’re about to enter a ramen noodle diet.

Host Your Own Personal Party

There will be plenty of official school parties and celebrations the night of graduation (more on that later), but that doesn’t mean you can’t host your own. If the idea of spending time with loads of people you don’t like, you can always invite the people you do to your own party themed around graduation. The appeal of this option is that the party can be whatever you want it to be. It can be an all-out extravaganza or a more intimate affair.

Get Together Your Closest Friends and Do Your Favorite Activity

Partying is fun and all, but you’ll have plenty of time to do that as you move into college. This time before shipping off to college should be about enjoying your high school life before it’s taken away. So, collect your friends and indulge in the local delights of your town or city. Is there a bowling alley or mall you guys fancy? Maybe a restaurant? Whatever it is, do it before you can’t anymore.

Take Part in Grad Night

Grad Night is different based on what school you go to. The basic premise is that the parents of graduating students will raise money to plan an all-night trip or activity for graduating students. This could mean going to a theme park or just having a baller party. Either way, the majority of students will be taking part in Grad Night, so going will give you the opportunity to hang with friends and just have a good time.

Go to Project Graduation

In the event that Grad Night doesn’t happen at your school, the chances that Project Graduation does are pretty high. The faculty of your school will set up the campus for a sleepover for all of the graduating students. There will be food and a myriad of activities for the students that stay the night. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to stay locked inside the school for a night, this will be your final chance to experience that sensation.

Spend One Final Night with Your Fellow Graduates

Whatever you decide to do, just make sure you spend some time with the special people in your life you may be leaving behind. The time between graduation and college is the calm before the storm, meant for preparation. This may be your last chance to see those you care about. Don’t waste this opportunity and make some final memories.
