A poll was conducted by telephone by Harris Interactive Polling between Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 among a cross section of 1020 randomly chosen adults. One of the questions asked was “Do you think that airlines should provide personal identifying data about passengers to federal agencies to assist in improving airline security?”
Seventy three percent responded “yes” (source: Wall Street Journal Online).
a. Construct a 95% confidence interval estimate of the population of adults who would have a similar view.
b. Interpret the interval you constructed in part a.
c. Identify the standard error and the margin of error terms in the interval.
