Do the highest paid National Basketball Association (NBA) players perform in the clutch (i.e., in the last 4 minutes of a close game)? This was the question of interest in The Sport Journal (February 2020). To answer this question, data were collected for the 60 highest paid NBA players in 2019 and used to fit a 1-order model for the player's salary (y).
