Following a series of acquisitions, a company has looked at its pool of employees and geographical locations. In order to cut costs and streamline operations, largely by merging finance and administration, HR and other support services, three remote locations are to be closed over the course of the next six months. The company recognizes that there will be unavoidable separation costs, but also wants to be seen to be doing the right thing.
