The file P2_73.XLS contains expense account data on your company’s seven sales representatives for the past 4 months. Each row in the database includes a single expense record, which contains the rep’s name, the month, the category (trip, entertaining client, or miscellaneous supplies), the amount claimed, and the amount reimbursed. (Only “legitimate” expenses are reimbursed. )

a. Create a pivot table to tabulate the number of expense records of each category by each representative for the entire 4-month period. (For example, it will list the number of trips taken by Smith.) Use the data in the resulting pivot table to construct an appropriate bar chart. (You can decide on the exact form of the chart.)

b. Create a pivot table to show the total amount spent each month by each rep. Use the resulting pivot table to create time series plots, one for each rep.

c. Create a histogram of reimbursed amounts, for the entertaining clients and miscellaneous supplies categories only.
